This deposition was made by Erastus N. DeVan on 16 January 1890 to assist Reuben Wilson get a Civil War pension for disabilities received during the war. In this deposition Erastus claims that Reuben Wilson is his nephew and that he has known "...Reuben Wilson all his life. His mother was my sister."
It also provides strong evidence that Talcott had at least one other daughter in addition to Abigale and Laura. Analyzing the 1800 and 1820 census data for Talcott suggests that he may have had two additional daughters.
